Welcome to my English Channel Journey

My swim is approaching quickly, so take thhe time to look over my fundraiser group, and hopefully Donate money to Cause Canada through us and help me stay motivated to train and complete my pratice swims.

I have chosen a fundraising group that I am very passionate about: Motherhood and Food Security in Sierra, Leon.

Please read up on this program and other programs at cause.ca and help support impoverished women through knowledge and long term support.

My tide is from August 26th to September 3rd.
I have signed on offically with Andy King, and have heard wonderful things about him.

I have also had the opportunity to meet 2 other incredible Canadians who crossed the Channel - Bill Borger and Brent Hobbs.

Bill crossed the channel in 2001, although i cannot remember the specific time, it was a success. When I met with him i became very inspired. He was full of good advice and inspiration. Before bill's plans to swim the Channel he was not a swimmer, which goes to show that anyone can do anything.

I also met Brent Hobbs, who crossed just a few months ago in July (08) - With it still fresh in his mind he had lots of good things to say. I was overly impressed with his support and enthusiams which i will keep in mind during those extra long training sessions.

I THANK both of them GREATLY, and I'm sure they will continue to be apart of my future in helping attain these goals.
